The much anticipated United States tour of Damage, the latest movie from Uche Jombo has kicked off in earnest. The movie has been already been screened in New York and Minneapolis. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Houston (TX) on October 21, and Richardson (TX) on October 22. With Uche on the tour are co-stars Kalu Ikeagwu, and Tonto Dikeh. Also on the tour is the director of the movie, Moses Inwang. The US tour of the movie coincides with the US Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Uche Jombo is using her movie to raise awareness about domestic violence.
The movie deals with the issue of domestic violence and the psychological effect it could have especially on the children. A man and his wife love each other immensely yet their day to day life can only be described as a ‘cat and mouse’ situation as they fight violently almost on a daily basis.
I see that Uche is really making an effort to promote her latest movie. She has been promoting Damage in the UK, US, Canada and Nigeria for weeks now. This means that the movie must be GREAT!
