News: New designer collaboration for H&M
Here’s a designer collaboration that’s going to make you forget all about the Versace x H&M collection. Word is Marni is next to design a capsule collection for H&M! Just when we were on the mend from elbowing our way through the recently released H&M and Versace collection, we now have something ELSE to look forward to after a long, cold winter!
Italian fashion label Marni is known for its decadent prints, one-of-a-kind shapes, and bold colors, so we cannot WAIT to get our paws on some affordable pieces from the collection. Founder and Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni collaborated with H&M Creative Advisor Margareta van den Bosch to create a women's and men's collection that will juxtapose "prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphics and adding sporty utilitarian elements," says Consuelo.
Hmmm, we're loving the sound of this already! The women's line will include full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped pants, and jacquard knits in everything from silk to cotton. Plus, the collection will also include jewelry, shoes, bags, and scarves. Just peeping the image above makes us weak in the knees because we are loving that bright kinda African inspired '70s print.
We can't wait to see the entire collection in all its glory, but to
hold you off until then peep our pics below and watch a behind-the-scenes video for even MORE looks and interviews with the designers. The line hits 250 stores worldwide and online on
March 8, 2012.
