Look book: Versace Pre-fall 2012 x Nyasha Matonhodze

Photobucket
Versace is reppin Africa! The Zimbabwean model has debuted as the face of Versace's Pre-fall 2012 campaign. Both Nyasha Matonhodze and Versace had a whirlwind year of success in 2011, so it is only fitting that the two come together for the brand’s latest ready to wear collection. Right on the heels of the debut of their H&M Cruise 2012 collection comes an edited selection of looks for Pre-Fall 2012.

The collection is Versace luxe at its finest, fully equipped with glamour and sensuality. From gold cap toe black leather boots to lace sleeves and insets, these looks will surely be a hit with the brand’s fans including Jennifer Hudson, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland and many more. A strong collection, but that signature glitz from the brand is missing.

The looks are heavy on functionality and lacking the vibrancy of color and embellishments that are inherent to the Versace aesthetic. Have all the eccentric and va-va voom ideas been given to the latest H&M collection? We’ll see when the Fall 2012 collection debuts at Milan Fashion Week. What do you ladies think?

  1. Not a bit fan of Versace, I find it to be getting more and more tacky

  3. I thought Versace's image was supposed to be a blond headed girll? Oh well this suits me better :D
