There was a time, perhaps around 2008, 2009 or 2010, when Rihanna’s style was flawless. But lately, Rihanna is continuing to make some interesting style choices. She’s definitely not as fashionable lately. She looks like she’s dressing herself. Thats fine for the everyday person, but once your a fashion icon should you maintain that status? Take a look at a few of her most recent ensembles:
During Rihanna’s glory days she was working a lot with Lysa Cooper. She switched her stylist, and then she started looking a mess. I think she might have switched back to Lysa for a hot second when she has the red hair. (I’m not sure who did the look when she wore that little polka dot bow, she looked so adorable, but I like to think that was Lysa,) I think she also might have been taking more control in her image, and the fact of the matter is, the girl might not be as great at dressing herself.
At the end of the day, you can’t look perfect all the time and maybe she’s grown weary of always wearing “a lot of look.” Maybe she wants to just chill and exist as a human being in a nice dress and some sneakers. What do you think? Do you still love her style?
I still think she is the fashionista she always was…I love her style and some of the pieces may not be what a celebrity would normally be seen in but that’s the good thing about Rihanna is her individuality. She had my attention with the bold hair cuts and and still has my attention now. She is my fashion icon!!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone give me a break. i give Rihanna props for taking risk and always looking good in whatever she wears. Not everyone is gifted with such a body that can wear almost everything. We should be thanking her stylist and team for making her wat she is. A good stylist will have designers sending you free clothing out the ass. They actually have meeting on what rihannas hair will look like and what she should stick to wearing more now when each album comes out. this is a business, and her job is sell u an image. Overall her style is nice and fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, she’s working with a new stylist. Someone asked Mariel Haenn on twitter if she’s still working with Rihanna and she said no, not recently. I can appreciate the new style and fashion choices. I love it.
