The Summer Carnival in Rotterdam and the Nothing Hill Carnival in London are coming up! Both carnivals are very similar to the Carnival that takes place in Brazil. There’s lots of music, elaborate costumes, and dancing in the hot sun! For those who are going to participate in the "long walk" we have some fun make-up ideas for yall! Find out more after the jump: The makeup look would greatly depend on what your band colors are and what your costume looks like. But the most important is that you center your look around glitter and bright colors. Get a few tips below of applying basic carnival make-up and some youtube tutorials: |
Tips to apply carnival make up for yourself. - Apply sun block to face first - Let sun block settle, don't apply anything else to face for about 10 mins. - Apply foundation and concealer - Dust a little powder to settle foundation with Powder brush - Spray make up fixing spray - Apply primer - Apply make up. Be sure to use an eye shadow base or eye primer which extends the longevity of your eye shadow. When applied to your eyelids, your eye shadow can last all day into night without touch ups. Simply use your finger to tap it on lightly or use a flat top makeup brush to apply eye shadow base before you apply your eye shadow. There are many brands which can be used from high end to drug store brands. Like MAC, Urban Decay, NYX, ELF and Sacha cosmetics all have bases which work perfectly. Also apply a little iridescent fine glitter dust to over lip gloss, looks majestic also. - Apply another coat of powder to settle in make up and finish with fixing spray |
