There is a article in The Grio about a recent study that concluded very tight weaving is linked to a permanent type of hair loss that affects black women. The clinical term is central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, which means “scarring hair loss.” It is something that occurs only in black women. And there is still no treatment for it.

This is really said
ReplyDeleteI mean sad
ReplyDeleteI must say she's got bald patches and still pulled a billionaire man. Hair is not everything
ReplyDeleteGood read!
ReplyDeleteI NEVER saw her with natural hair, its her own fault she is trying to keep up an image thats already been DESTROYED she might aswell leave those extensions
ReplyDeleteThe thing about a Bald spot is that if the hair was tugged severely from the scalp that it can take months - years for the hair to grow back. I have a Bald spot myself on the side of my hairline that I am currently working on. I use "Hair Foods" like Jojoba Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Peppermint Oil, and Glycerin for the moisture aspect
ReplyDeleteMy entire hairline had been obliterated when I first went natural, not just from weaves but from years of relaxers too. It's grown back some, but it's still thinner than it should be. You can also try caster oil tea tree oil and rosemary oil. Massage any or all of those oils on the bald spot twice a day for about 5 minutes at a time to stimulate your scalp.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Nise post
ReplyDeletePretty sure she's wearing a weave.
