We had the privilege to attend The Tori Oso "Its All About Hair" Event 2012. At the event we stepped into the world of frizzy, curly and mixed hair, followed workshops, listened to live talkshows, we ate some good Surinamese cultural food and more! We managed to snap a few naturalista's who were attending the event too. Check what fine lessons we learned about black hair and the different hairdo's we snapped after the jump.
Tips:
- Avoid dandruff by making a potent scalp mask by mixing olive oil and Sea-salt. - Winter might see a weekly scalp oiling, while this is a practice you skip in the summer.
- Scalp acne occurs when the pores become clogged with dirt and oil. - Besides synthectic hair being “obviously” fake. It also ruins your hair because it haves certain chemicals in it that cuts our natural hair.
- Black hair is very sensitive in the winter, they tend to be the months in which black hair is the driest.
- Blackhair can never be DEAD!
More about these tips will come soon. First, check which hairdo you dig the most below:

I love being a naturalista, many women including I have rediscovered a natural texture after years of straightening. Learning to work with your hair in its natural state may cause a lot of patients; but its all worth it
