Ever heard about the bird poop facial? Well, it excists! It’s a facial using bird poop as its main ingredient. It is often referred as the Geisha Facial because of its Japanese origins. It’s no secret that women will try bizarre things in the name of beauty. But bird poop? Read more about this bizarre facial after the jump:
The Geisha Facial (60 min.), a.k.a. Bird Poop Facial, uses traditional and natural Japanese ingredients to soften, brighten and nourish the facial complexion. The most crucial ingredient in these unique facials is powdered nightingale poop.
Geisha were the true renaissance women of ancient Japanese society. Geishas found that regular nightingale droppings facials could be used not only to remove makeup but to brighten, heal and retexturize the skin, which imparts a pearly luster to the skin.
The poop is perfectly safe to use on the facial skin, sanitized through exposure to ultraviolet light before being milled to a fine powder. They mix the nightingale droppings with delicate Japanese rice bran to enhance its inherent exfoliating and facial lightening properties.
It further refines skin texture, and it is completed with a hydrating camelia oil facial massage and a refreshing antioxidant Green Tea Collagen Mask.
And if you wondered if the facial smells, the nightingale dropping has a slight musky aroma on its own, but together with the bird poop facial mask formulation it neutralizes this aroma, leaving a mild “organic” smell from the rice bran.
Interesting right?
