First lady Michelle Obama encourages scholars at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newton, Johannesburg rocking a Osei Duro’s Panel Skirt in Green Rubics and a chiffon blouse from Nigerian label, Maki Oh . She is reppin Africa from head to toe. Better WERK!
US first lady Michelle Obama adressed teenagers at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newton, Johannesburg. She encouraged the teenagers that they have the ability to change their future.
“You might not control what family you come from, you might not control what school you go to or how other people treat you but you can control whether you do your homework each night.
"You can control whether you go to school every morning, you can control whether you spend your free time hanging out on the streets partying, playing video games or instead invest that energy in achieving academic excellence by studying for those exams,” she said.
“No one is born a rocket scientist; no one is born as president of the United States or of South Arica. No one is born being smart or successful – you become smart and successful through hard work,” she added.
It is nice to see that Michelle is really embracing the African culture! She is showing it off while rocking pieces by African designers! Her skirt is hand-dyed rayon, made in Ghana, and a part of Osei Duro’ s SS 2013 collection. She looks amazing!!
