Try a Trend: Monokini Beach Wear For Summer 2013

Forget bikinis and forget swimsuits! Monokinis are all the rage this season. This sexy piece takes the two-pieces of a bikini and connects them via the middle torso with a small amount of fabric or chain. It might be the hottest swimwear shape of the season, but it is worth to try... right?




 The monokini comes in several styles including brazilian cut, halter, push up, padded, bandeau and triangle with many featuring embellishments such as shells, beading or metal rings. You don't have to spend a lot of money to find a monokini style that will make heads turn. Sexy monokinis look great on basically all shapes and are a great alternative to the conventional bikini.

 Not everyone is supportive of the monokini trend. Fashion experts call this piece HARD TO WEAR! “I get that such a design looks sexy in a heavily photoshopped shoot, but to prance around the beach thinking you’re hot sh*t in one does everyone a disservice . . .
