News: Naomi Campbell - Diversity In Race Has Improved During This Seasons Fashionweek

Naomi Campbell has been an active and vocal supporter of the Diversity Coalition in the fashion inustry. Now she says that the Diversity Coalition has already made an impact on the number of black and Asian models appearing on the catwalk, just two weeks after the start of the spring/summer 2014 shows. Find out what she had to say after the jump.
I’ve seen a huge change this season already,” Campbell said. “Giorgio Armani used four models of color in his show, and a model of color opened his show, which is something that I haven’t seen in a very long time. Jil Sander did; I’m naming names because this is a big improvement.”

She went on to say; “We don’t want this to be a trend; that designers begin using models of colour just because we are raising our voices,” she added. “We hope they will keep doing it and we’re going to keep raising our voices until they do. It’s a long-term plan.”

Naomi you tell'em!
