Jewelry for these nail piercings ranges from simple studs and small hoops to intricate charms and gems. Some nail trend fanatics are even adding a pair of piercings to a single finger, or bejeweling multiple nails.

Though the piercing process itself isn’t dangerous, there are some undesirable factors linked to this form of nail art to consider: Nail cracking and splitting, snagging clothing, and the potential for the piercing to caught on something and rip through your nail.
