Adidas is about to collaborate with Mary Katrantzou for a long-term partnership which will include clothing and footwear. The Mary Katrantzou for Adidas Originals line will be available in November, and, if we had to guess, will be one of the most talked about sneaker in the fall/winter season.
Mary Katrantzou is the latest in a growing roster of fashion brands that Adidas has tapped for partnerships in recent months: Topshop, Rick Owens, Raf Simons and longtime Adidas Originals collaborator Jeremy Scott have all lent their design chops to the label.
I’m really excited to be working with Adidas on a line of apparel and footwear,” Katrantzou told Vogue UK. “I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market” Mary Katrantzou explained.
Hopefully Mary will keep on incorporating the bold florals, bright colors and kaleidoscope prints that have helped her to become so popular in her career.
Are we excited?
