Abuja’s fashion’s finest gathered on 11.11.11 to celebrate the sophomore edition of the Runway, a fashion and music event. The show organizers can be described as visionary, introspective and delightfully innovative in the thinking and execution behind this event.
Ogua Iweze, Ofure Adive, Ireti Dada, Halima Yunusa and Owuno “Mo Dini” Ogbeh, came together in 2010 with the sole vision of uniting designers, fashion enthusiasts, stylists and entrepreneurs in Nigeria, this they have completely taken to a new level in Runway 2: 11.11.11.
The night was ecstatic; the crowd anticipative, the decor was opulent and made quite an impression on the guests. The venue, THISDay Dome had been transformed into a Victorian style arena, with silk drapes camouflaging VVIP areas and feather center pieces on each table.
The Runway 2 had a fine selection of designers showcasing, from glam maternity wears to African inspired pieces for both male and female. The event was a promising entree into the world of Abuja fashion.
