And we have another singer who is turning into a designer. Vogue UK recently reported that Rihanna has teamed up with Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans on a small collection which will hit stores worldwide mid-November. The collection consists of jeans, biker jackets, lingerie, and tee shirts that are all emblazoned with Rihanna’s R logo and Armani’s signature eagle.
Another t-shirt style has a sketch of the pop star’s face, with some abstract animal print–we guess she’s taking her ‘face of’ duties for Armani very literally. The underwear is a bit more tame and features two different styles and sets of lace bra and panties that come in navy and pearl.
She is a fashion maven known for her edgy clothing choices, and she undoubtedly has a team of great stylists behind her. But do we really want or need a clothing line from Rihanna? Will this translate well into a clothing line?
All singers, dancers etc should stay with singing!
