Try a trend: Dagger Nails
Get your claws out ladies, because the latest trend in manicures is Dagger Nails, Spiked Nails, Stiletto Nails, Almond Nails or whatever you want to call them. The name says it all and when you see someone rockin them you will definitely take notice and know what they are. Usually in medium to long lengths the nails are shaped to an extreme point and depending on how you want them you can play with the sharpness and hues.
The edgy trend has been spotted in a range of hues on celebrity fingertips this year including Rihanna, Fergie, Beyonce’, Solange, Jessie J, Lady Gaga, Amber Rose, Katy Perry, and more.
Check out some of our favorites below:
Jessie J is a huge fan of the dagger manicure, and sports the tough look in black on the cover of her album Who You Are. In the video for her song What's My Name, Rihanna's bright yellow dagger nails stand out against her black and white striped blazer
Katy Perry is known for her wacky manicures, so it's to be expected that she'd start sporting dagger nails. In fact, she took it to new lengths with these unwieldy gold talons.
Thinking of trying the look yourself? Rihanna's manicurist, Kimmie Kyees, recently told InStyle that "long, pointy nails elongate fingers, making them look nice and slender." Her one requirement? "You have to be fearless!"
Cosmopolitan, in its December 2011 issue, asked 100 guys on the street if they thought spiked nails are sexy or scary. 69% said scary, while only 31% said sexy. But what do you girls think? Is it a YAY or a NAY!

These nails are way to long. I'll just keep my nails simple and short.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Daisy. These nails are way too long. I've tried it and it just didn't work. I couldn't cook I couldn't clean It was very irritating. These nails are made for celebs who dont do shit!
