Vogue Australia has taken a leap over the Pacific Ocean and landed straight onto African soil in its most recent December 2011 edition. Photographer Max Doyle creatively captures model Katie Fogarty in some of the best African inspired pieces for the season. Styled by fashion editor Naomi Smith, Foggarty displays sharp hues, Bold prints and luxe fabrics from the hands of Diane von Furstenberg, Emilio Pucci, Burberry Prorsum and Giorgio Armani. The fantastic set arrangement exquisitely complements the designer garments and (in our case) leaves the viewer impressed with the well constructed scenes.
I like the pictures. But an Australian model of African decent, such as Ajak Deng would have made this shoot even better in my eyes, though its another clear example of Africa making its mark on the International fashion scene. What do you think?
An african model would've been much better!
