It was a thrilling match between Ghana and team America, but unfortunately the U.S. team emerged with a 2-1 victory after scoring in the first minute and then again late in the game to answer a tying-goal. Oh well, there was a plus on the Ghanaian team! Have you guys seen the Ghanian 2014 Home Soccer Jersey? Kuddos to them for reppin Africa on a international platform! |

Established in 2009, as a small independent company based in Ghana and Nigeria, iamISIGO by Bubu Ogisi created a striking awareness of how African culture can be fused with an audacious but yet minimal design aesthetic. Nicole Miller for Indego Africa
Dont we just love it when successful fashion designers take the clout they've attained and use it to do good for the world?
Instead of just making a donation to charity, fashion designer Nicole Miller has actually been helping these Rwandan women, most of whom survived the horrors of the 1994 genocide to lift themselves out of poverty and become successful entrepreneurs. She's doing this by collaborating with them to produce clothing and accessories which she can then sell. !

Kaleidescope by Chenai
I just saw the lookbook of Kaleidescope by Chenai. I just love to see how African designers are beginning to come up.
Created by London based designers Paida Fundira and Tasha Antwi, the inaugural ‘Kaleidescope’ collection offers fun rompers, funky bustiers, mini and maxi skirts, and chic halter dresses. I think all the pieces are great. I love the fact that everything is so wearable but I must admit that there is allot of competiton going on by using African prints, this is nothing special or different compared to LAMB, Moofa, Boxin Kitten etc. I guess the price will tell LOL!

New artist Elle Varner: goes African
As one of the hottest newcomers on the musical scene, Elle Varner’s voice has been resonating through the speakers of cars, houses, and parties over the past few weeks. The J.Records recording artists’ song, “Only Wanna Give It To You” featuring J.Cole, has hit radio stations in America and is quickly creeping up the Billboard charts for a top 20 spot. I must say that the track is Groovy and Catchy!
