Event: Miss Excellence review

The event started with a opening performance by Jennifer Cooke, after which the show opened with the Miss Excellence contestants walking towards the stage in purple shirts, black hot pants and high heels.

The host, Jasmine Sendar gave the opening speech. She welcomed guests and acknowledged the presence of the Ambassadors and the judges.

After the introduction video of the Miss Excellence contestants took place, the finalists returned on stage for the parade of they're talent round.

Sendar returned on stage, thanked all the sponsors of the pageant and then ushered in the 9 finalists in their traditional wears designed and manufactured by their sponsors. The traditional wears were brilliant with lots of colorful designs.

After their cultural round they all gave there own empowerment presentation wearing a cocktail dress. After the short break it was time for the evening gown round followed by elimination of four contestants.

The Top 5 contestants, Amorzhina from Angola, Leila from Nigeria, Alieth from Colombia, Rebecca from Eritrea and Ndidi from Nigeria were called up to answer questions. The questions were asked by Djamila Melcherts Miss Beauty Of The World Netherlands.

There was a lot of suspense leading up to the announcement of the winner.

After much deliberation, Alieth from Colombia was awarded 2nd runner up, then Leila from Nigeria, 1st runner up. Finally, the 26-year-old Miss Rebecca Habtab, was crowned Miss Excellence 2011.

Rebecca Habtab will be the Queen Ambassador of the colored women in The Netherlands and, during her reign, will to implement several projects in collaboration with Positive Runway, and also private organizations. Habtab, in her acceptance speech, thanked the organizers of the event, sponsors, and her family.

  5. Naaaaaaa man. That's Rebecca Habtab winner of the Miss Excellence contest. She rocked the contest from start to beginning. She's from Eritrean origin and is taking names woot, woot.
