Reppin Africa: France Sozzani and Roberto Cavalli's Nigerian trip flicks

Top Designer Roberto Cavalli and France Sozzani, editor of Vogue Italia, visited Lagos, Nigeria last week as part of their campaign as goodwill ambassadors for fashion. In Lagos, Franca and Roberto were hosted to a series of private fashion presentations. Check some pictures of France Sozzani and Roberto Cavalli's fashion adventures in Nigeria!

Part 1:





One of the designers selected, Bridget Awosika presented pieces from different collections, explaining the transition and development in each of these collections.

Part 2:
Eredappa Hart, Creative Director behind Nigerian fashion label, Eredappa was opportuned to present her stunning designs to Franca Sozzani. Each piece depicts a mastery in the combination of classic European lines with traditional African Ankara fabrics and luminescent bead work.




Part 3:



London based label, Victate, was a refreshing collection of graphic tshirts, hoodies, jumpers and custom made shirts. Founded by Edward Li, the brand focuses on innovation and quality, appealing to a select young and hip market.

Part 4:



Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, founder of eponymous design label, LDA hosted the Italian Vogue Editor, France Sozzani at her flagship boutique in Ikoyi. The Nigerian designer is know for her vintage style and feminine aesthetics, impressing Franca with a colourful array of pieces from various collections.

Part 5:







Folake Coker, Head Designer behind luxury brand, Tiffany Amber hosted Franca Sozzani at their flagship store in Victoria Island, presenting a selection of eye-catching pieces to the delight of the Italian Editrix. So much so that she selected pieces from the store for a fun shoot on the street, phototographed by her son, filmmaker and fashion photographer Francesco Carrozzini.

Part 6:




France Sozzani visited the Ituen Basi store located on Tiamiyu Savage, VI. Although the designer, Ituen Basi was not present, the Vogue Italia editor loved the authentic African pieces.
