Music News: Original Members Of Sugababes Are Planning Comeback



After almost a year of speculation, the original members of Sugababes have announced their return to the charts! Mutya Buena, 26, Siobhan Donaghy, and Keisha Buchanan, both 27, have signed with Polydor Records. But the girls will not be able to use the Sugababes name despite the current line-up featuring NONE of the original members (SAD).

The girls formed the band in 1998 — scoring a hit with Overload. Siobhan left in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range. Mutya quit in 2005 and Amelle Berrabah came in. In 2009 final original babe Keisha left, to be replaced by Brit Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen.

Buena, Buchanon and Donaghy have reportedly signed a record deal worth £1 million with Polydor in April 2012, home to acts including Lady Gaga and Take That. There will be a record out in the autumn with a single in summer.
