Health & Lifestyle: Celebrate Your Weight Loss Achievement!

Celebrating your achievements is vital to continued success in life. This includes knowing how to celebrate your weight loss success. When you’ve kicked the soda habit or simply made it through the day without overeating, pat yourself on the back. You’ve moved closer to a slimming lifestyle that helps people lose weight without crazy or complicated diet plans. Phone a friend, get a pedicure, buy new clothes or on occasion, indulge in a small slice of cheesecake.

You’ve moved closer to a slimming lifestyle that helps people lose weight without crazy or complicated diet plans. Phone a friend, get a pedicure, buy new clothes  or on occasion, indulge in a small slice of cheesecake.

While you are on your weight loss journey, it is a good idea to set up mini goals for yourself along the way. This will help to keep you motivated and keep the momentum going. The mini goals do not have to be centered around how many pounds you have lost. You can make them according to diet and exercise goals, or you can celebrate when you have toned or lost inches from an area of your body. You shouldn’t reward yourself with food, so here are some other great ideas for celebrating your weight loss.

New Clothes
What better way to celebrate weight loss than to get yourself a new wardrobe? If you reached your goal of toning up your legs, buy a pair of shorts that will show them off. If you still have a lot of weight to lose, you might want to go with something that you will still be able to wear along your journey, such as a new pair of shoes. You could buy yourself a new workout outfit to keep you motivated to reach your next goal.

CDs or MP3s
Many people work out to music. If you have reached a goal, buy yourself a new CD or MP3s to add to your workout collection. Or you might opt to buy some relaxing music to help you through the tough days. 3. A Different Haircut Once your body starts changing, you will need to update your haircut to bring out your new features. Ask your stylist which cut would work best for you. Also consider adding highlights or changing the color of your hair slightly. As you keep accomplishing your weight loss goals, you will feel less and less like blending in and hiding. You will want to show off your success, and a new haircut is a great way to start.

Manicure and Pedicure
After working hard on your diet and exercise plans, a manicure and pedicure will help you feel pampered. Pick bright, new colors to go with your new look. If you can’t afford to have it done professionally, invest in a new polish as well as some hand and foot creams.

Take a Trip
You might decide that you want to have one very big reward when you have reached your overall weight loss goal, such as a vacation. Use your mini goals to help you get ready for your trip. For instance, if you have reached your goal of eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies each day, buy yourself a new travel bag. For the next mini goal that you reach, buy a new outfit to take on your trip. When you have reached your overall goal, you will be ready for some fun! Your rewards should be something that motivate you to keep going. They should also make all of the hard work worthwhile. Losing weight can be difficult, but rewarding yourself can make it much more fun.
