We were approached by ML Tours travel agency for the celebration of their 5 year anniversary and their first scheduled flight from Amsterdam to Rabath and from Rabath to Amsterdam. We felt honored to be on board with other 50 men while celebrating the establishment of ML Tours and the rich culture of Morocco. We spent a few days in Morocco and during our time in-country as well, we've seen beautiful places like Fez, Meknes and of course Rabath. So we’ve managed to bring together all the unmissable stuff for you in our short guide format. It is our duty to tell you why a vacation in Morocco is well deserved! Read our first take on Fez, Morocco after the jump:

We arrived at Fez flying low over a green landscape with the Rif mountains sharply outlined in the background. At the airport we received a warm welcome from the airport staff and we even received roses. In front of the airport we got picked up by a touringcar to take us the five miles to our hotel.
We finally arrived at the Pickalbatros Royal Mirage hotel. The rooms were clean and standard. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurants inside. It had a nice pool, sauna, gym area and of course a good size room.
After a quick reception in the lobby we got on a citytour and got an opportunity to explore the expansive medina of the old town. The entire medina is surrounded by high walls with a number of historic city gates. The labyrinth of shops lead you to many different items on offer, and the sights and smells of the spices and food is amazing.
We even got the chance to explore the Moroccan fashionscene "chuckles". Did you know that all the bags, purses, shoes etc. are all handmade with leather and only cost 500 Diram (approx. €50,-)? Well, no designer bag is going to do you like that. We found leather shops where beautiful Moroccan leather bags and shoes were sold. We also got the chance to go onto the roof of these shops and we've seen the dying and tannery vats. It was like a scene from the middle ages.
Several shops and restaurants have a rooftop terrace which is a great way to escape the bustling streets. The views are particularly spectacular during sunset and after dark.
It is humbling to see how important religion, worship and prayer is to the Muslims when we compare it to our secularised society.
Afterwards we had a nice dinner and we got some time for relaxation (see me dancing)!
