Fashion Discussion: Would You Wear High Heels During Pregnancy?

Happy Thursday! It has been a while, but we are finally putting up our next discussion: Would You Wear High Heels During Pregnancy? It seems like everybody is getting pregnant and popping out babies these days! Being fashionable and beautiful during pregnancy is important (have you taken a look at Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton, Beyonce, Fergie while pregnant?). For some pregnant women, wearing high heels during pregnancy is a fashion statement. But wearing high heels while your pregnant always causes a stir, it is not acceptable and will most likely be very uncomfortable. What is your take on this discussion:
According to experts high heels (even wide-based, clunky ones) is not a good idea during pregnancy. That's because your weight increases and your body shape and center of gravity change, making you walk differently (and less steadily). A fall during pregnancy could hurt you and possibly your baby.

With loosened ankle ligaments, stability is also a problem. Combine loose ligaments with balance issues associated with the redistribution of body weight during pregnancy, and wearing high heels can lead to stumbles and falls that could harm both the pregnant woman and her fetus.

Fluid retention is also a necessary evil during pregnancy. The same gravity that holds the feet firmly on the earth’s soil will pull extra water to the lower half of the body. With feet that are wider and longer, pregnant women may have to force those once comfortable high heels onto their new pregnancy feet. This can increase fluid retention in the feet and lower legs, and lead to uncomfortability and swelling.

I've never been pregnant but I would not even try it! It may not be comfortable as well. And as you get further along in the pregnancy you'll probably want to go to a lower heel, because your center of gravity will be constantly changing and walking in heels will be harder to manage.

So what is your opinion?  Would You Wear High Heels During Pregnancy?
