Discussion: Is Kim Kardashian Pregnancy Style That Bad?

Ever since Kim Kardashian baby bump is expanding she has been getting near-constant criticism of her maternity style and weight gain. The media accuses her of wearing tasteful pencil skirts, drapey layers, sheer tops and overly sexy clubwear. The majority has come from folks wondering why her clothes are so tight and her heels so high during her pregnancy. But what they don’t realize that she has all of her clothes custom made to fit her growing belly, and overall, looking good is what makes her happy. Is the media getting a little to harsh or are they kinda right?

Shoe Discussions: Lita Booties Worlds Ugliest Shoe?

The 70′s inspired platform booties are very popular and even Jeffrey Campbell's best-selling platform ankle boot. But now the Lita's have been labelled 'the world’s ugliest shoe' - more so than Crocs, UGG Boots and even Celine's recent mink-lined sandals. Is the title deserved? Discuss after the jump:

Discussion: Is Bleaching Your Skin Ok?

India Arie, is that you? The 37-year-old star is almost unrecognizable in the cover image from her new single "Cocoa Butter," which is causing a lot of backlash and many to believe that she has been lightening her skin. But India.Arie took to Twitter on Friday to deny the accusations, saying she has no desire to bleach her skin because she loves herself and her brown skin "more than ever. Most of us would like to have beautiful skin and an even tone. But you may also wonder if bleaching your skin is safe and necessary. Have you ever had the urge to bleach your skin?

Discussion: Model With a Painted Black-Face Called an African Queen, is that OK?

Fashion Magazine Numero’s March issue shoot titled ‘African Queen’ with blond-haired, blue-eyed Ondria Hardin bronzed out to darken her skin tone to portray herself as an ethnic lady. Its a controversial new spread for Numéro magazine By Anna Klassen. My question is; weren't there any black models available to pose as an "African Queen." in a spread? African queen should be a model from Africa! It would look silly to take an African or American model to pose as a "Asian Queen" or "European Queen"? Is this OK? Leave your opinion in a comment.

Reppin Africa: Kim Kardashion In Nigeria - Not So Amusing?

Following her controversial trips to the Middle East and the Ivory Coast earlier this year, Kim Kardashian headed to Nigeria last week staying less than a day in the city of Lagos. She was paid a reported $500,000 for her fleeting visit, angering some commentators in the African country. Kim's visit was an example of the country's economic elite 'blowing its money on bling puffery while most of the country suffers.

Black History Month Discussion: Are Urban Brands Still Relevant?

In the early to mid nineties urban brands were all the rage. Guys walked around in Ecko sweatshirts, Karl Kani and Rocawear. Girls rocked Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, and Iceberg with confidence. I remember the Baby Phat handbag I was yearning to purchase and the Pastry runners collection in my closet. And don’t get me started on the Karl Kani jacket that I received as a gift that I would wear anywhere and everywhere. All these brands are still on the market, but are they still relevant? Would you still rock it? Discuss after the jump:

Discussion: Zara the world’s largest fashion retailer. Do you agree?

The New York Times named Zara the world’s largest fashion retailer. Not only is the brand taking over the world, but its CEO, Amancio Ortega Gaona, is the world’s third richest man. Zara is a fast fashion phenomenon. With about 4,400 stores around the globe this empire is twice the size of Swedish H&M and no end is near; Zara is opening more than one new store every day or approximately 500 every year.

Fashion Discussion: Will You Buy the Chris Brown x Rihanna Black Pyramid tee?

If the recent lovey dovey photos and the suggestive duet "Nobody's Business" don't prove that Rihanna and Brown are an official item, then this new fashion statement sure does. Chris recently took to his Instagram to reveal a mockup of a t-shirt he designed for his Black Pyramid clothing line, featuring a picture of the rumored on-again couple.

How To Break Through Discussion: “Why don’t our own race support or credit each other that often?

2 months ago, Nene Leakes (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) was the talk of the town when she snagged Ebony’s Annual Power 100 cover complete with a photo of her bathing in diamonds. As soon as the cover was revealed online, Ebony Magazine was slammed for glorifying a reality star, with some readers questioning if the magazine had lost their credibility. Nene recently sat down for a chat with The Daily Beast and didn’t hold back as she responded to the criticism while saying that African American women can be so negative towards their own people. After reading Nene's response on the criticism of her Ebony cover (read after the jump) I could relate to her and asked myself the same question “Why doesn’t our own race support or credit each other that often?"

Maison Martin Margiela x H&M  is still on the racks and already there’s a rumor swirling about which designer is up next to collab with the Swedish mega brand. The word on Twitter and Tumblr (so, um, nothing anywhere near official) is that  Givenchy will be the next big designer collaboration. Which would be awesome, what do you think?

Shoe Zoom Discussion: Céline’s furkenstocks

Designer Phoebe Philo, who had her third child in April, definitely knows the way to Sesame Street. How else do you explain the furkenstocks and pool sandals at Céline’s Spring/Summer 2013 show at Paris Fashion Week? According to WWD and Beth Buccini, co-owner of high-end retailer Kirna Zabête, Céline‘s fur-lined spring 2013 flat sandals or “furkenstocks” as they call them, are Spring's 2013 new it-shoe.
